Rubrik joins the Health AI Alliance to promote the development of responsible AI in the medical field.

Data security and AI operations company Rubrik announced that it has joined the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) and will be committed to cooperating with alliance members around network resilience and AI governance to jointly promote the responsible development, deployment and application of AI in the medical field.

The healthcare industry faces particularly severe data security challenges. Data shows that medical institutions need to protect 50% more sensitive data than the global average, and cyberattacks may directly interfere with patient care and even endanger lives.

As the medical industry accelerates the adoption of AI technology, ensuring patient information security and business continuity has become critical.

Josh Howell, Chief Technology Officer of Rubrik Medical, said that AI has great potential to change medical care, but responsible expansion requires strict protective measures, timely operational recovery capabilities, and the ability to comprehensively monitor, govern, and trace back AI behavior.

After joining CHAI, Rubrik will contribute his professional experience to the broader medical ecosystem and work with the alliance to redefine the network resilience and governance framework in the AI era.

Brian Anderson, CEO of CHAI, welcomed Rubrik’s joining and looked forward to working together to unlock the potential benefits of AI based on trust, safety and reliability. Currently, Rubrik has carried out multiple cooperations in the medical field.

The company was recently selected as a preferred cybersecurity resilience provider by the American Hospital Association, providing cyber resilience and data protection tools to nearly 5,000 member hospitals.

In addition, Rubrik has also reached a strategic cooperation with MEDITECH, a medical IT service provider, to provide medical systems with a unified network resilience solution on the cloud and on-premises, helping their critical data to remain immutable and recoverable quickly when encountering cyber attacks to ensure the continuity of patient care.
