L 3 Harris wins satellite order worth nearly US$1 billion from U.S. “Golden Dome” project.

U.S. defense supplier L3 Harris Technologies announced on Monday that it had received a $955 million contract from the Space Development Agency, a subsidiary of the U.S. Space Force, to build 18 satellites for the U.S. "Golden Dome" missile defense system. The Space Development Agency also issued a relevant statement on the same day.

In the past year, L3Harris has continued to expand domestic space and satellite manufacturing capacity in the United States to support the "Golden Dome" plan launched by US President Trump.

Including this new contract, L3Harris has accumulated production orders for at least 70 missile tracking defense satellites from the United States, of which 5 satellites have been deployed in orbit. L3 Harris said that these satellites can detect and track advanced missile threats. The company added that production of the satellites would begin immediately.

L3 Harris and other defense contractors are profiting handsomely from record-high U.S. defense spending and rising geopolitical tensions around the world.
