U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent posted on X that the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control has imposed sanctions on multiple electronic wallets related to the Iranian Central Bank, resulting in the freezing of more than $130 million in funds.

"We will continue to aggressively track financial flows and prevent the Iranian regime from accessing its illicit proceeds," Bessant said. Previously, the U.S. Treasury Department added several Iran-related entities, individuals and ships to its sanctions list.
