ASML's second-quarter revenue and profit beat expectations, boosted by demand for AI chips
ASML, the world's largest supplier of computer chip manufacturing equipment, reported on Wednesday that its second-quarter revenue and profit were better than expected, benefiting from demand from artificial intelligence (AI) chip manufacturers. ASML's revenue in the three months ended June 30 was 9.33 billion euros ($10.90 billion), and analysts' median forecast was 8.80 billion euros; net profit for the quarter was 2.92 billion euros, which was better than analysts' median forecast of 2.62 billion euros.
