After announcing a record strong financial report, Goldman Sachs Group launched a global bond issuance storm in about 24 hours, with a cumulative capital equivalent of more than US$15 billion. After completing the pricing of a $10 billion bond issuance in the United States on Tuesday, the Wall Street bank raised another 5 billion euros (equivalent to $5.7 billion) through a three-part bond issuance on Wednesday. With Wednesday's issuance, Goldman Sachs has become the largest financial institution borrower in European bond markets this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
