Eli Lilly closes deal to acquire psychedelic drug maker Atai Beckley
According to media reports citing people familiar with the matter, The company is in talks to acquire psychedelic drug maker Atai Beckley (ATAI.O), a deal that could be announced as early as this week. AtaiBeckley shares soared 66% in after-hours trading, while Eli Lilly shares were flat. Data shows that Atai Beckley has risen 31% so far this year, with a market value of US$1.97 billion as of Wednesday's close. Eli Lilly is negotiating for a premium, the report said.
