Trump Media launches paid Truth API to sell quick access to posts from popular accounts.

US President Donald Trump's media company plans to let traders and investors pay for real-time access to posts from "top-ranked" accounts on the Truth Social social media platform. Trump Media & Technology Group Corp.

The data service, aimed at institutions that rely on access to quick information, such as high-frequency trading and algorithmic trading firms, is expected to launch next month, it said in a statement on Thursday. Trump often influences global markets through his social media posts. He has the most followers on Truth Social, with 12.9 million.

Other White House officials also have large followings. Reports on Friday said Trump Media has discussed charging as much as $100,000 a month for the service. The service is the latest example of how Trump's political role is intertwined with his business interests.

He is the largest shareholder in Trump Media, with shares held in a trust managed by his son, Donald Trump Jr. Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of Trump Media, said in a statement that the Truth API is expected to be a significant revenue stream, but did not specify how much the service would cost or how much faster paying customers would view posts than others.

After Trump returns to the White House, Trump Media's main product is Truth Social. After the riots in the U.S. Congress on January 6, 2021, Trump founded Truth Social himself after being banned from the platform then called Twitter and other social media.

The company has launched several new businesses, covering sports betting prediction markets, virtual asset accumulation, and funds focused on security and defense, energy security, and real estate in Republican-dominated states.
