U.S. stock futures lower in Asian morning trade Alphabet and Tesla shares fell in after-hours trading
U.S. stock futures fell in early Asian trading on Thursday as earnings reports from technology giants heightened investor concerns about excessive capital spending. S&P 500 futures fell 0.2%, 100 futures fell 0.2%. Alphabet fell more than 3% in after-hours trading after the company once again raised its forecast for capital expenditures this year to more than $200 billion, higher than analysts expected. The stock price fell more than 4% in after-hours trading. The company's second-quarter profit fell far short of Wall Street expectations and operating costs soared.
