Musk says FSD is becoming an important driver of demand for Tesla cars.

On July 22, local time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said during the second quarter earnings call that as FSD functions are approved in more regions, consumer demand for related functions is increasing.

He said that in markets where FSD is approved, some consumers are "actually buying FSD with a car" rather than buying a car with FSD, and believes that FSD will become an important driver of demand for Tesla vehicles. Musk said Tesla expects to see similar demand growth as FSD is approved in more countries and regions.

Currently, Tesla is increasing its investment in autonomous driving, artificial intelligence and robotics, and the company's capital expenditures in 2026 are expected to exceed US$25 billion.
