Excluding certain one-time gains and losses, adjusted earnings per share were 87 cents. Analysts according to FactSet expected adjusted earnings of 63 cents per share. Net sales rose 5.6% year over year to $1.77 billion, topping Wall Street expectations of $1.7 billion. North America revenue rose 9.3% to $1.21 billion. Increased sales, new cooperation orders, and market share expansion, combined with one more statistical week this fiscal quarter, jointly pushed up revenue. Operations in the Middle East continued to be disrupted, raw material costs continued to rise, overseas revenue declined, and the North American segment made up for this gap. CEO Mike Smith said: "Competition in the industry is fierce, and we have introduced a number of measures to try our best to hedge against various volatility risks." Looking ahead, Lamb Weston gave guidance for fiscal year 2027: adjusted earnings per share range of $2.95 to $3.25; analysts had expected $2.93. The company expects net sales to be flat to slightly up 1% in the next fiscal year. Wall Street had forecast full-year revenue of $6.35 billion, down 4% from fiscal 2026. In midday trading, the stock fell 1.1% to $48.65.
