Salesforce wins $1.6 billion contract from U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to modernize veteran services
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announces partnership with global CRM leader Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) has signed a $1.6 billion contract to transform the healthcare benefits and service support system for veterans with its technology platform. According to the contract, Salesforce will provide more personalized and efficient medical care, benefit applications and various service support to millions of veterans and their families across the United States through a unified platform. This solution aims to leverage Salesforce's technical advantages in the field of customer relationship management to unify institutional data that are currently scattered in various places and simplify the process for veterans to obtain services and apply for benefits. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is the second largest cabinet department in the United States after the Department of Defense, serving approximately 17.9 million veterans across the United States and with an annual budget of more than $300 billion. This collaboration is a key step in its digital transformation. Salesforce’s previously announced financial report for fiscal year 2026 showed that annual revenue reached US$41.5 billion and operating cash flow was US$15 billion.
