Active stocks in late trading on U.S. stocks: Corning, Tesla, Booz Allen Hamilton
Here are some of the companies receiving attention in U.S. stock trading: Data Center Infrastructure – Investors are exiting stocks of companies related to the data center infrastructure industry as concerns persist about hyperscale companies’ spending on artificial intelligence. Specialty Glass and Fiber Optic Company fell 3%, while photonics companies Coherent and Lumentum each fell about 7%. GE Vernova, Eaton and the Defiance AI & Power Infrastructure ETF (AIPO) all fell more than 1%. -- Elon Musk's electric car company fell for a third straight day, falling more than 3% on Friday. Tesla’s cumulative decline this week is expected to be close to 19%. The stock plunged nearly 15% on Thursday after the company signaled it would increase spending on artificial intelligence. Booz Allen Hamilton - Shares of the defense contractor jumped 12% after the company reported fiscal first-quarter results that beat expectations. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.81, compared with the FactSet consensus of $1.48. The consulting firm also reiterated its fiscal year outlook.
