Aerospace parts giant Trans Digm acquires Prince & Izant for US$1.066 billion to expand aerospace specialty components business.

Aerospace parts giant TransDigm Group Incorporated announced today that it has reached a final agreement to acquire Prince & Izant, a subsidiary of Industrial Growth Partners, for approximately US$1.066 billion in cash.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Prince & Izant is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered brazing alloys and specialty metal components. Its products are widely used in high-end applications such as aerospace and defense, aeroderivative gas turbines, and transportation.

The company's products cover nearly 10,000 active SKUs, and its revenue mainly comes from special metal alloys such as gold, silver, and platinum. The company currently has approximately 220 employees and manufacturing facilities in Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and New York. It expects full-year revenue in 2026 to be approximately US$360 million.

Mike Lisman, CEO of TransDigm, said that Prince & Izant provides highly engineered and customized proprietary products that are highly consistent with the company's acquisition standards. The company is familiar with the application scenarios and values of these products.

It is expected that this acquisition will create equity value that is consistent with long-term private equity-style return goals. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

It is worth noting that just two weeks ago, TransDigm was forced to abandon its plan to acquire competitor Stellant Systems for $960 million due to antitrust review.
