On July 27, the three major U.S. stock indexes closed with mixed gains, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.51%, the S&P 500 Index rising 0.02%, and the Nasdaq Composite falling 0.18%. Apple rose more than 1%, reaching a new high, with a total market value approaching US$5 trillion, once again surpassing Nvidia and becoming the world's number one.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 2%, hitting a new closing low since May 20. Nvidia fell about 5%, its largest one-day drop since June 5.

Optical communications and storage sectors led the decline, with SanDisk falling more than 11%, Kioxia ADR and SK Hynix falling more than 7%, Lumentum falling more than 6%, Western Digital and Seagate Technology falling more than 4%, Coherent and Ciena falling more than 3%, and Micron Technology, Marvell Technology and Corning falling more than 2%.

Among them, SK Hynix fell below the US IPO issue price, Kioxia ADR fell more than 57% from the high at the end of June, SanDisk fell more than 45% from the high at the end of June, and Marvel Technology fell more than 42% from the high at the end of June.
