The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 4.49%, Roundhill Storage ETF (DRAM) closed down 8.89%, the optical communications and storage sectors fell sharply, Kioxia ADR and SanDisk fell more than 14%, Corning fell more than 12%, Coher ent fell more than 10%, SK Hynix, Lumentum, Seagate Technology, Micron Technology, and AMD fell more than 8%, Ciena, Marvell Technology, and Credo fell more than 7%, Western Digital fell more than 6%, and Intel fell more than 5%. Most large technology stocks rose, with Netflix, Google, and SpaceX rising by more than 2%, Microsoft rising by more than 1%, Apple, and Nvidia rising slightly; Tesla, Amazon, and Meta falling slightly. Among them, Apple continued to hit new highs, with a total market value of US$4.99 trillion. Lucid Group rose more than 21%. Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud has invested $129.5 million in a 5% stake in the electric car maker.
