Goldman Sachs' growth equity business changes leadership, promoting two partners to take the helm
According to an internal memo, The group appointed two partners, Hillel Moerman and Christian Resch, as co-heads and co-chief investment officers of growth equity. Moerman joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 and was promoted to partner in 2020. He currently leads the growth equity fund's corporate and Latin American investment business. Resch leads the growth equity team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Goldman Sachs has deployed growth equity investments through its alternative investment arm since 2003, spanning multiple fields such as enterprise technology, financial technology, consumer and health care. Its portfolio companies include Anthropic, Revolut Ltd. and Databricks. The two will replace Darren Cohen, the former co-head and chief investment officer of growth equity, who is leaving Goldman Sachs to join BDT & MSD Partners, said a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be named because the information is private.
