The share price of French luxury goods giant Hermès fell sharply during the session. As of 21:30 Beijing time, Hermès's decline continued to expand, falling nearly 13%, hitting the lowest level since January 2023.

Hermès’ latest financial report shows that the company’s consolidated revenue in the first half of the year was 8.16 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 6% based on fixed exchange rates. However, growth was only 2% at current exchange rates, highlighting the significant drag on performance from an unfavorable currency environment.

In the second quarter, Hermès sales reached 4.1 billion euros, an increase of 6.7% based on fixed exchange rates, a slight acceleration from the first quarter; in the second quarter, the revenue of the leather goods department, which accounted for nearly half of the total revenue, increased by 10% year-on-year, slightly lower than the 10.8% expected by the market.
