U.S. Treasury yields were mixed in late New York trading Thursday
On Thursday (July 30), at the New York close, the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note fell 0.40 basis point to 4.6733%. It hit an intraday high of 4.7099% at 2:16 p.m. Beijing time, then moved lower and reached a daily low of 4.6509% at 9:38 p.m. The 2-year Treasury yield fell 2.88 basis points to 4.2438%, trading in a range of 4.2953% to 4.2068% during the day. The 30-year Treasury yield rose 1.49 basis points to 5.2135%. The 2s/10s Treasury yield spread widened by 2.275 basis points to +42.531 basis points, having climbed steadily since the start of Asia trading and touching a daily high of +44.604 basis points at 9:33 p.m. Beijing time. The 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) yield rose 0.44 basis point to 2.4104%. The 2-year TIPS yield rose 1.43 basis points to 2.0644%, and the 30-year TIPS yield rose 2.39 basis points to 2.9994%.
