Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index rises 1.73% as China ETFs end mixed
The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index rose 1.73% to 6,434.96, approaching its June 4 closing level of 6,597.34. It has now closed above its 50-day moving average for two straight sessions; that indicator currently stands at 6,272.15. The index is also nearing its 100-day moving average, now at 6,607.52. Before the Federal Reserve announced it would keep rates unchanged, the index held near 6,440, then gave back part of its gains after a brief surge. Over the past three trading days, it has rebounded 5.41%. Among ETFs, the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (KWEB) rose 1.79%, while the Invesco China Technology ETF (CQQQ) gained 0.12%. The Xtrackers Harvest CSI 500 China-A Shares ETF (ASHS) fell 0.08%, the Deutsche X-trackers Harvest CSI 300 China A-Shares ETF (ASHR) dropped 0.18%, and the MSCI Emerging Markets ex China ETF (EMXC) declined 2.28%.
