Nikkei May Rise After U.S. Tech Stocks Advance
Japanese stocks may rise after U.S. tech shares climbed overnight. Nikkei futures on the Singapore Exchange rose 3.3% to 63,900. The dollar was at 160.12 yen, down sharply from 163.60 yen at the close of trading in Tokyo on Thursday. Investors are watching the Bank of Japan’s interest-rate decision due later Friday, as well as developments in the Middle East. The Nikkei rose 0.7% on Thursday to 61,867.43.
