UK Natural Gas Futures Rise 1.24% in Late European Trading; TTF Futures Slip
In late European trading on Friday, July 31, ICE UK natural gas futures rose 1.24% to 144.24 pence per therm. The contract had gained 35.98% for July, continuing its overall upward trend. It reached 157.560 pence at the start of U.S. stock trading on July 24 and then fluctuated at elevated levels. Dutch TTF benchmark natural gas futures fell 0.34% to 58.801 euros per megawatt-hour, bringing their July gain to 35.05%. ICE European Union carbon emission allowances futures were unchanged at 80.77 euros per metric ton and had risen 1.38% in July.
