Apple says Mac’s Apple Intelligence can use Alibaba’s Qwen model in mainland China only
On Aug. 8, Apple’s website said Apple Intelligence can work with Alibaba’s Qwen model. The related features are limited to mainland China. If users choose to allow Apple Intelligence to use Alibaba’s Qwen, they can perform the following tasks: • Get more answers from Siri: For some requests, Siri can use Qwen to provide more in-depth answers, including analysis related to photos and documents. • Create text with Writing Tools: With Qwen, Writing Tools can create text or images based solely on a description.
