Apple says Apple Intelligence-Qwen feature is not yet available in mainland China after support document is removed
Apple customer service said the company receives advance notice when features or new projects are released, but it had not received any such notice and mainland China has not yet launched the “Use Qwen with Apple Intelligence” feature. The response came after a support document titled “Use Qwen with Apple Intelligence on Mac” appeared yesterday in the simplified-Chinese Mac user guide on Apple’s official website. The document explicitly said Apple Intelligence could work with Alibaba’s Qwen model. Apple removed the document less than 24 hours after it was published, according to Sina Technology. On July 15, Alibaba said Qwen would be integrated into Apple Intelligence as an AI capability for users in China across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS.
