Huya reports sixth straight quarter of year-over-year revenue growth and expands buyback authorization to $100 million.

Huya said total revenue increased year over year for the sixth consecutive quarter in its second-quarter 2026 financial report. The company also expanded the authorized amount under its share repurchase plan to $100 million. Game publishing, one of Huya’s key gaming-related businesses, continued to perform well.

In July, the mobile version of “Goose Goose Duck” ranked among the top five free games on the App Store, again highlighting Huya’s content-led distribution strategy and its ability to drive game launches through marketing channels. Huang Junhong said: “Game publishing will continue to be an important strategic direction for Huya.

We currently have a strong pipeline of game products, and key titles such as ‘JX Online: Reunion’ and ‘Match Adventure’ are progressing steadily toward launch as planned.

The strong performance of ‘Goose Goose Duck’ shows that Huya’s content ecosystem and integrated marketing capabilities can effectively drive user acquisition, user engagement and monetization.

It has also strengthened our confidence in the long-term growth potential of game publishing and other gaming-related services.” As of June 30, 2026, Huya had repurchased $7.6 million worth of its shares under the 2026 share repurchase plan.

Under its content-led differentiated distribution strategy, Huya is using its strengths in content creation, its streamer ecosystem and its user community to build broad reach across external platforms including Douyin, Xiaohongshu and WeChat Channels.

The company plans to exclusively publish “JX Online: Reunion,” a classic martial-arts MMORPG, and “Match Adventure,” a 3D match-3 mobile game. The move from co-publishing to exclusive publishing marks another step forward in Huya’s game-publishing strategy.
