The semiconductor ETF rose 0.62%, the global airline industry ETF gained 0.83%, and the energy ETF advanced 1.25%. Among the 11 S&P 500 sectors, telecommunications fell 2.12%, real estate declined 0.86%, and information technology/technology slipped 0.26%. Energy rose 1.06%.
