Most popular Chinese stocks fell on Aug. 13, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index (HXC) closing down 2.38%. Among the stocks that gained, listed by market capitalization from largest to smallest, TSMC rose 1.66%, ASE Technology gained 1.58%, United Microelectronics climbed 1.95%, KE Holdings advanced 2.77%, Silicon Motion Technology jumped 7.73%, GDS Holdings rose 0.34%, WSP Holdings gained 2.08%, Webull climbed 1.32%, JOYY rose 1.02% and Hesai Technologies gained 0.37%. Among the decliners, also listed by market capitalization from largest to smallest, Alibaba fell 2.07%, PDD Holdings dropped 1.62%, NetEase declined 2.96%, JD.com fell 0.97%, Baidu slipped 1.04%, Chunghwa Telecom edged down 0.12%, Trip.com declined 1.34%, ZTO Express fell 0.13%, Tencent Music Entertainment dropped 3.04%, Li Auto declined 1.66%, H World Group fell 0.84%, NIO dropped 1.84%, XPeng fell 1.01%, Full Truck Alliance declined 0.86% and New Oriental Education & Technology dropped 3.92%.
